They lyin, they haven’t tested that many people. The only way we get tested is if we show symptoms. Testing is slowing down and they aren’t taking it seriously.
My pod has been quarantined 3 times. First, because one of the first initial cases, the dude had just moved out of this pod. Way back in like December or early January, about 5-6 people had it but it got dismissed because they thought “flu.” But if it was the flu, everybody in the pod would have been sick because the flu don’t discriminate but C-19 does. Some people get a little sick, some a lot – and then you got the in-between.
I’m not a doctor or rocket scientist, but the flu is the flu and if you got the “flu,” you gonna know it! Since then, the second quarantine about 7-10 people got moved out to another place (observation area) because their temperature was abnormally high. The last time we got quarantined, a Mexican (Hispanic) dude fell out in his cell and was “unresponsive” – was the term the paramedic used. He’s been seen since so he didn’t die.
They came and did some fake-ass C-19 test and never came and gave us the results. If it is as contagious as it is said, then there’s no way that everybody’s test should have come back negative. I’m not sick or have any of the symptoms, nor does anybody else that I know of in this pod, but I’m damn near willing to bet my left big toe that if they test people, the number that they’re posting in the paper would be higher.

But the outside world would find out and the parking lot would get filled with protesters and the media would find out, and at sometime during the day we would have “Breaking News! Virus Outbreak at Santa Rita Jail – Numbers Higher than First Count.” A count that never took place!
Oh, did I say that out of the 3 pods on the East side of the building I’m in that I can see with my own eyes, this is the only one that got tested. In the last couple weeks a deputy has passed (RIP) and another is very sick, so now they have mandatory masks every time we come out of our cells. But mind you, these are the disposable masks that don’t prevent or help the person wearing it from contracting the virus. It helps to prevent us from giving the virus to others – “them!”
That’s it, I’m done. It’s not that many inmates here, why not test us all – so we can inform our loved ones of our health status? And give us the results. If you don’t test us, you don’t have positive test results to report. So Santa Rita won’t have any more negative publicity! Hmmm?
